That matters because the hardware from that era - torsion springs, older extension setups, first-generation openers - isn't always what's sitting on a shelf at a big box store. We don't stock every part for every opener on the first truck out. Some older or less common opener boards take longer to source, and if that's your situation we'll say so up front instead of promising a same-day fix we can't back.
We don't work outside the areas listed above as a matter of course. If you're well past Ririe or Rigby, call first and ask - we may still take it, but we won't pretend it's a standard trip.

Why does my spring keep breaking on an older door?
If your house dates to the 60s or 70s, which covers a lot of the stock in our service area, the torsion spring was sized once at install and often never upgraded even as the door aged or was replaced. Metal fatigue plus a severe cold climate speeds that up. Once one spring goes, the other is usually close behind.
Do you work outside Idaho Falls itself?
